Know exactly what you are selling and that it's legal and bona fide. Avoid the pyramid schemes (you give someone money, then you ask other people to give you money) - they are highly illegal. Sometimes pyramids are based on sales of products where you depend on other people's sales for your promised riches. HA! Don't do it! Get everything in writing before you sign up!
